this is not a tourism advertorial but I just want to declare my love for hong kong publicly :P
for those who are not aware… yes, I just came back from Macau/Hong Kong trip and nope, I do not have any souvenirs for you guys... sorry...
it is only my 3rd day back in my homeland but I’m already missing everything that Hong Kong has to offer... and I do really mean everything from the hong kong scenery to the extravagant shopping and the delicious food to its cold yet sunny weather.
the scenery at The Peak looking down all the nicely lighted up high rise building and the cable car scenery all the way up to Lantau Island’s Big Buddha are strongly embedded into my memory. although I did not manage to shop much due to time constrain, but I still adore all the shopping experience from the street markets (Ladies Street and Temple Street) to huge shopping centre (Kowloon and Tsim Sha Tsui) to the outlet shopping centre (Citygate Hall @ Lantau Island). besides that, I find that you just can’t go wrong with food in Hong Kong... yummilicious dim sum, seafood, roasted goose, roasted pigeon, congee, ying yong milk tea, soya bean milk... the list just goes on and on *saliva dripping*...
oh, guess what’s my biggest shopping outcome from Hong Kong? hehehe... if you are following my blog closely, I’m sure you would have guess rite. I bought a lime green 4th generation ipod nano chromatic… and I even managed to get it lower then the retail price (although getting it in Hong Kong is already much cheaper then getting it in Malaysia). thanks Alan for helping me to bargain… but despite the happiness, I was very disappointed too as I didn’t manage to get any Hard Rock merchandise (maybe it’s a sign for me to be back in Hong Kong soon again). I am a fan of hard rock merchandise and I must get something from the country that I traveled. too bad that it has moved to The Peak but we were not aware at all…
you must be wondering why I only brag about Hong Kong but in fact I did visit Macau as well rite... frankly speaking, Macau city sucks! it is such a dead city with hardcore gamblers at every corner of the streets. so I think it’s not worth mentioning anything about Macau here… but I definitely did enjoy the Taipa & Coloane village trip as I think the outskirt of macau is a good lay back, relaxing place to be.
Hong Kong, I’ll unquestionably be back for more :)
