my precious weekend

at last after all the hectic months of working, I got to really give myself a break out of all the stress and pamper myself.

I started off with a friday happy hour with my ex colleagues at Finnegan’s. it’s been almost a year since the last time I met up with these gentlemen and have a drink. I don’t know why but I can always easily click with guys who are open minded enough to accept a girl like me (a not so girlie girl). it feels good to complain bout life and bitch bout my ex bosses with them (although they are still taking pays from those bastards haha….). they seem to be so interested in my hectic life, wondering why the heck on earth am I so busy with work. frankly speaking, I got no answer to it. I guess it’s either I am really bad at time management or it's the nature of my work or I am just too overloaded (and obviously underpaid…hehe). we ended quite early as I was really tired and some of the guys needed to report home to the wife.

then came the saturday noon (no morning for me as usual coz the moment I opened my eyes, it’s already 12-ish), I called Nicholas (the guy who loves pampering himself with good food) since I feel like pampering myself too (it’s just another excuse to waste my hard earn money). he was surprised that I called him out on a Saturday noon but yet he agreed to bring me along for a good brunch. we decided to head to D’lish and I dunked myself with so many cups of orange juice (I tell you… you can never get an orange juice as fresh and good as this unless you do it yourself…really very good). the brunch was very relaxing and fulfilling too. Since the tummy was full, Nicholas suggested we go for a walk coz he needs to get grocery for himself. it’s been quite long ago since I stepped in a supermarket. he was looking for fresh fruits and we found some very fresh berries like imported blueberry and strawberries. and I bought myself 3 boxes of strawberries and 2 boxes of my favourite granola bar that can’t be easily found at any other supermarkets.

thought of taking a nap after reaching home bout 5-ish but I don’t think it’s a good idea since Kent will be fetching us to Genting at 8pm. sure I won’t be able to wake up on time if I take the nap, so I drove to the gym and took a slow work out for about 2 hours and it’s the right time to head back home to get myself prepared.

I love enjoying a cuppa in the cold weather. since Genting is the only place to get cold weather here in Malaysia, so I am very happy and excited for the trip. while driving our way uphill, old memories of Danny and I on the trip to Genting just suddenly hit me. it was his first time winning money from the slot machine and it’s not small amount ok, about RM400 you know…. he was telling me that I brought luck to him and that’s when I quietly recalling what the fortune lady told me before (it’s a secret that I will always keep to myself and only those close friend will know). once we reached, those 2 guys straight guided us to the casino. I never thought of gambling that night as I’m not that interested to use my brain. but Kent was suggesting we pool our money and he will be in charge to multiply it haha…. since he doesn’t mind doing the work, we are more then happy to leave it on his hand. Jen and I was just looking and walking around for less then an hour, after that we decided to go for our caffeine treat. although we kinda lost our way, we still managed to find coffee bean in the end. Sipping caffeine fraps and puffing ciggies (only puffed 2 or 3 ciggies ok….) while relaxing in the cold weather (although I’m complaining bout the weather not cold enough) is just the best way to let myself forget all the hustles and bustles. later, Kent and Wah came to join us for the coffee break and brought us the bad news (lost all our money to uncle lim) but I must say it’s gentlemen enough of them to share their hard efforts with us in the end. Thank you very much Kent and Wah! :)

it’s a Sunday and I decided to clean up my filthy messy room… unpacked my previous baggages from Sabah and Singapore, arranged my wardrobe and cosmetic cabinet, changed my bed sheet, organized my bills and read a few outdated magazines (very sad but true that I didn't manage to read those magazines that I bought few months back). Phheewww….so exhausted and it’s time to nap again haha… and now sitting on the couch with my laptop while watching F1 and updating my blog….. hehe

and this is what I call ‘my’ weekend. enjoyed myself and hope the week ahead will be good…. oh, and I’m so looking forward to my Krabi escapade….
