pure indulgence

the gals, Kitty and Karen, are in town and we had super loud fun!!!

the gals were in town on Thursday evening but I didn’t manage to pick them up from the airport as I was busy running some long postponed errand (since 2.5 months ago to be exact). so I checked into Fraser Place first around 5pm and waited for their grand arrival (managed to take a short nap while waiting hehe…). finally, they arrived around 6pm and we started to prep up for dinner.

as arranged, we met up with Adam and Chee Hong at Alexis Bangsar for dinner at 730pm. we ordered quite a few main courses for sharing and had a bottle of dessert wine accompanying our all time favourite tiramisu (I’ll like to clarify here that Adam definitely did not have the wine). as we were done savouring and catching up, we couldn’t decide what to do next since the nite was still young (why do we always have the same problem even with my bunch of buddies?). after a series of ‘serious discussion and consideration’, we finally made an impromptu decision. to Genting we go… 5 people, 1 car and uphill we go… reached Genting around 1230am. weather was great, cold mild wind and clear starlight skies. as we bought the whole cake of tiramisu from Alexis but we couldn’t finish it earlier, we had it for second round again with a piping hot cappuccino and latte and chocolate at the Coffee Bean. felt like at the top of the world when you have yummilicious dessert, fragrant caffeinated latte, cold weather and best of all, great companions. what more can I ask, rite? great time always passed by damn quick and without realizing, it was already 3am hence we started to snail downhill and managed to reach our apartment at 4am. girls being the typical girls, we just couldn’t stop chatting until 530am when we decided to zip our mouths and get some sleep. you must be asking, so much to talk huh? frankly speaking, I got no comment too…. haha…

I think we used too much energy to talk the previous nite and caused us to feel so damn hungry early in the morning. we gotta force ourselves to wake up as early as 10am to grab a few bites from the breakfast buffet. then to the pool at the 18th floor we headed to laze. caught a glimpse of great city view. come to think of it, I think it’s my 1st time overlooking the whole KL in daylight at this height. I would say KL is quite an impressive city, no doubt. the great laze had accumulated a full bar energy for us and how else can we use these fully charged energy besides what girls do best…. shopping!!! my all time favourite shopping centre in the heart of KL, Pavillion, was our destination. ok… to cut it short, 3 of us had overspent tremendously. kinda had the guilty feeling but also had a contented satisfaction feeling too. girls… as always confused with what they feel :P. a bubbly long hot soak in the tub after a tiring day never fail to cure the fatigue. all dressed up with newly bought accessories and make-up, we were all ready to hit the Skybar. met up with Karen’s friends, Sam and David. it was a great way to spend the nite chilling with a glass (or two :P) of cocktail in the hand and chatting the whole night through. ended the day quite early around 3am.

came Saturday morning, we skipped the breakfast as we overslept hehe… only managed to move our lazy asses at noon time and headed to The Curve. had a relaxing brunch (or do you call it lunch coz it was actually 2pm already :P) at the bedroom corner of The Apartment. since we overspent on the previous day, we felt guilty and only did some window shopping but bought dozens of magazines while waiting the time for our spa. at 7pm sharp, we were already getting ready for our 2 hours cocoa spa at Royale Spa. the package includes of the lavender steam bath, full body cocoa scrub, cocoa wrap and aromatherapy massage, ear candling and out of the package, my masseuse specially prepared a bowl of peppermint oil for me to inhale becoz she heard that I had nose block and difficulty in breathing. I have to admit that the spa is not as good as lomi-lomi but her attentiveness deserves a credit too. since we were all refreshed, we didn’t want to strain out ourselves again that nite so we decided to get some wine and chill back in the apartment. but unfortunately, all the wine stores that I know had closed for the day after we had our dinner. tried calling for help from Kent but to no avail. so I paged for Kelvino to check if he happened to be in Palate Palette partying and yes, he was…. he was our hero for the nite! he bought us 2 bottles of white wine from the bar. I think it’s the charm of that 2 gals hehehe…. but anyway, thanks Kelvino.... we love you :P. after another hot soak in the tub around 1am, we headed up to the 18th floor poolside with 3 wine glasses, 2 bottles of wine, 3 boxes of Patchi chocolate (complimentary from our spa) in our bathrobe and home slippers on hahahaha…. I would say this is my best ever and most relaxing way of enjoying sips of wine under the starlight on KL city. simply pleasant….

this morning, we decided to skip the breakfast buffet for a naturally-wake-up-sleep. as predicted, we only got up around 11am and feeling damn hungry again. so I drove the gals for a good brunch, dimsum at Royal China. as usual, the dimsum was good and so was the service. after having a great start for the day, I dropped the gals at Berjaya Time Square for their Krispy Kreme craze. we were back to the apartment around 1pm to pack and check out. After sending the gals off to take their cab to the airport, I happily drove home to continue my lovely weekend.

I am glad you gals enjoyed ourselves so much and it was definitely the best time I had spent with both you gals ever since we’d been working together to almost 3 years. and now I can’t wait to see you gals again in Shanghai in the next few days…. we shall party our own way again soon :)
