not the usual weekend

yesterday was a gals nite out with Jen, Carol & Zephyr at desa park city. although Thim couldn’t join us but she’s still been mentioned in our conversation whole night long (Thim, you really play a big role in our life you know hehe...). as usual, Zephyr was late and we started dinner while waiting for her. but this time we forgive her lateness as she just had a freshly done fairy tattoo (I salute you for the braveness!). since we have the soon-mama-to-be with us (although she doesn’t look like one except for a small bum at her belly and her walking style and I think she is still thinner than me *awfully shame on me*) and also one of our first few close friends who got pregnant, most of our conversations revolve around pregnancy, marriage, family planning, maids and definitely her hubby, Calvin. it all started when Carol told us that he ordered 3 crabs for himself for dinner (oh, with fried rice and also requested Carol to get him 2 tubs of ice cream... another salute from me haha...)

we ended quite early (11pm to be exact) since Carol needed to get home to deliver the tubs of ice cream to his hubby and also she needs to lead a healthy life for the baby’s sake. but too bad those 2 wild girls (you know who you are) didn’t want to go home that early, we called Wah out for a cuppa. Wah is definitely a friend that you can call him anytime you are in emergency (Wah, we will definitely push your bestselling point to Thim hehe...). decided to hang out at mont kiara’s starbucks again as we wouldn’t wanna take risk and ended up somewhere boring. I really love hanging out with friends (must same channel) and talk bout issues that happens in our daily life. guess what’s the topic of the night? yeah, no other than the topis of petrol price increase, our ‘think-its-citizens-are-dumbass’ government, change of lifestyle (strongly recommended by the government) etc. we even joked about how to earn extra income to cope with the high living standard incurring nowadays. the ever funny Zephyr suggested we start the ‘lok-lok’ van business (you know those types you see at pasar malam or at the streets along the clubbing scenes with sticks of steamboat ingredients and people standing by the pots of boiling soups). I tell you, our joke is not just plain joke! we even thought of the possibility of rivalry threat from the infamous ‘Fatman Lok Lok’ that is currently conquering this business hahaha... ok enough of crapping so then we wrapped up the night (or should I say the morning) at 330am!

sunday morning, the cloud was gloomy and so am I (coz monday is soon to come)... I went out with my mum to get a new standing mirror for myself. at last I got a mirror in my room that I can see from my head to my toe!!! then mum suggested we drop by at some supermarket to get the ingredients to make blueberry muffins. for the first time, I was actually excited about baking. we reached home at noon with all the ingredients and without second thought, I went searching for the recipe book and straight head to the kitchen. pour pour pour, stir stir stir, scoop scoop scoop then placed it into the owen and *TINK* came out the nice muffins. my first time baking today after living for 27 years and it turned out looking very good indeed (must give a round of applause for myself *clap clap clap*). since it’s my first time, I gave my dad and mum the honor to try my handmade muffins. my dad was so worry that he asked me to prepare ‘poh zhai yun’ :( first bite, dad and mum say not bad just that not enough blueberry fillings and my dad joked that I’m now qualified to be someone’s wife (why they really so worried of me not getting married???haiz...). anyway, I enjoyed the baking session very much and it was actually fun and am so happy bout the outcome. I wanted to tell Nicholas that at last I did it so I smsed him and he replied ‘ok, please keep few pieces for me and I’m on the way now...’. half an hour later, he was at my porch front waiting to try my blueberry muffin haha... I packed 3 pieces and we then headed to the old town white coffee café at uptown for tea time. I was so anxious when he’s about to try it but he was quite surprise with the results too and gave exactly the same comment as my parents (just not enough fillings). although it’s not perfect but hey, it’s my first time and it will definitely encourage me to bake more... so more muffins to come ok...

tonight is the final match for euro cup 2008 between germany vs spain. I personally am hoping germany could win this one. you go germany!!! I’m gonna watch it tonight while savoring my handmade muffins :) enjoy your match tonite...
