plan A in execution!!!

I had just updated my ‘my travelogue…. (part III)’ post and if you could still remember that I talked about this ‘Plan A’.

alrite, plan A didn’t go as smooth as we planned. started with some pulled out then the thought of just drop the whole idea. but was revived back by some desperado (yeah, I have to admit the desperado here is me :P) then clashed of interest as planning comes along. what the heck….

last weekend, Kent found some kinda treasure. oh well, not really a treasure that we were hoping for… but who doesn’t fall for a treasure that is presented right on your face???

yeah, I meant dirt cheap airfare… so despite of all the obstacles that disappointed us, we had decided to just do it again. this is the year … the year of 2011… hitting my big three-o soon… here I come….

date: 30th Apr to 21st May
venue: Europe (highlight will be Santorini!!!)
participants: me, Kent, Ryan & Karen

Kent, work your magic on the chindian ok… then it won’t be down to just you and me anymore, it shall be fun if they can really join us. as for myself, I am really on ecstasy that I can finally do what I’ve been hoping for… it’s just 3 months for me to countdown to… hooray!!!

carpe diem

it has almost become a habit to play this beautiful song right at the moment my eyes are wide open every blissful sunday.

lazing on the bed with the quilt comfortably cuddling my body, I just couldn't resist having this beautiful song on a continuous loop.

letting this beautiful rhythm mesmerizing my mind is like the best potion to wash away all the stress accumulated.

every time singing along its’ beautiful lyrics reminds me of a phrase, a simple yet powerful phrase.

carpe diem... life is short, seize the day!

well... live high, live mighty, live righteously, takin' it easy... and enjoy this beautiful song...

goodbye 2010… hello 2011!!!

it’s a wrap…. for 2010. definitely wasn’t one of the best year for me. to summarise, it had been a year of worked hard and played least. sucks big time! last year this time, I was in Singapore accompanied by colleagues and friends that made me feel good being away from home on such a significant day. but this year, I am so glad and blessed to be home with family and friends. this is undeniably a better way to kickstart another new year compare to last year. so here I am now to bid farewell to 2010 and hope for a better 2011.

nothing better than having new year eve dinner with the buddies. besides the slight hiccup on the reservation, it all went on smooth… as smooth as Dr Loosen down the throat (no siap siap hahaha…). with a buffet spread of meats, half dozen of wines, simple desserts, DJ spinning the music and counting down to a new year, I would say it was a crazily great nite. it was so crazy that we did the YMCA dance… I know, it’s so O-M-G rite… well, it must be the side effect of the non-stop wine sipping. and the side effect was so strong that it got my head and my heart pounding at a syncing beat while on the way home. thanks mr Chong-Ling for all the champagne and wines... oppss, I mean Mr Chong and Mr Ling :P

noon was spent with Shearwell and DinDin. first time celebrating new year with the ladies. it was fun preparing lunch with the two experts, feels like being the spoil brat giving not a helping hand but a big trouble hahaha… sorry for the burnt garlic, spilled cheese and not well blended mushroom :P I sure knew I will create a mess so the best way to say sorry is to bring a tub of BR rum and raisins hahaha… hope we can celebrate every new year together in the years to come.

as most of the gang had our own plan for the new year eve, we all decided to celebrate the new year tonite. Kelvino did a great job in getting an exceptional venue to celebrate. he got us a recording studio… alrite, it was very kind of Mark for borrowing us his workplace to turn into our playground. the guys were jamming some ‘real’ music and some of us were singing our heart out. since it is a sound proof recording studio, we didn’t have to worry if we caused any disturbance to the neighbouring bungalows with our wicked music. with Nic’s signature homemade pizzas and finger foods, my contribution of brownies, Mark’s generosity in free flow liquor and JE’s finger-licking-good chicken wings, the ‘recording’ went on and on with so many hilarious music produced.

all in all, it is no doubt the best new year celebration I ever had… from the YMCA dance to the kitchen booboo to the music production. and I’m so happy to say that it will never be this much of fun if it wasn’t with you all celebrating the great new year with me. hope 2011 will bring so much more great happenings for all of us… cheers and happy new year!!!

christmas came early!!!

just got home from dinner with my regulars, steamboat-ing in such weather is pure pleasure... reached home and wanted to grab some fruits. opened the fridge and something at the second tier of the fridge attracted my attention immediately. mummy bought me 2 dozens of my fabula collagen. i think she pities me that I had to stop consuming collagen this month because I wanted to control my spending. so she said it’s my xmas present... first time mummy get me a xmas present... and now I’m the happiest daughter on earth... yippie yay yay...

I thought that spending quality bitching time with Karen, Kitty and Loraine is the best xmas gift I can get from them. but Karen and Kitty proved me that they are definitely my forever favourite colleagues because they bought a packet of Royce chocolate as xmas gift for me... oh and it’s not just any chocolate from Royce but my sinfully much loved Royce Potato Chip Chocolate... crunchie crunch yummie yumsss...

managed to catch up with my ‘singapore secret boyfriend’ while waiting for my coach at Harbour Front. as usual for our yearly ritual, I got my xmas/valentine’s/birthday pressie from him. my all time favourite parfum, Ralph Lauren Romance... and the best thing is it comes in a set with a miniature parfum! now I can travel around the world with my all time favourite parfum woot woot... although I think it’s a bit too early to consider as my birthday pressie, maybe should think about getting another birthday pressie for me when the date is nearer *ahem... greedy... ahemthanks for all the early xmas pressie and I really love each and everything I got as much as I love you all! it may be a bit too early for now... but i would like to wish everyone a merry christmas and have a jolly jolly time with your love ones...

foursome rendezvous @ Singapore

Singapore is never a stranger country to me because besides spending most of my lifetime in my homeland, the next country that I stayed most of the time is Singapore.

Singapore to me is really a love hate thing. I love the nonstop development of the country’s facilities, the cleanliness and definitely the safety of this fine city. but I hate the ever busy human traffic in every corner of Singapore, from the neighbourhood foodcourts to their famous shopping malls and even all the bus stops and taxi stands…. forever jam packed, forever long queue, forever no space of privacy.

last Friday was our company d&d, we started our journey way early in the morning and only be able to reach Singapore on time. long story bout the journey but I do not want to start ranting bout it here. the paintball session was just so-so as the field is quite small and not much action needed. in fact I walked out from the 2 rounds of battle with zero injury. yeap, never got hit at all! but the fun part was… my team won the paintball fight! woohoo… now you know who can really kill so don’t fool around with the SHAM team hehehe… the d&d was fun too although my lucky draw prize is just SGD50 shopping voucher :(

well, I decided to extend the weekend in Singapore for our bitches-bitching-rendezvous. initially thought of just camping over at Kitty’s place but ended up we checked into this chic new boutique hotel, The Quincy Hotel. hope we didn’t make a scene when we checked in with our ‘back to school’ costumes :P the hotel was superbly great! the room, the bed, the pillow, the quilt, the shower, the Molton Brown amenities, the free flow bar and lays, the complimentary wine and cocktail, the food, the coffee, the 24 hours DIY ice cream, the steam room, the pool… alrite, the pool is a bit too cool because the sun can never shine onto the pool... and they even provide free imported Japanese cup noodle for our supper. really nothing more I can ask for except that it would be best if they can control the pool water temperature. we spent every single second in the hotel without stepping out and totally no regrets at all. worth all the single cents we paid although Kitty and I did complain it was a tad too expensive earlier. well, now we just can’t get enough of it and we felt so heavy hearted during the check out :(

besides the comfort of the hotel, I really enjoyed our chatting/bitching sessions. I feel good after pouring out and what more to people who are either going through the same shit or at least they understand the shit I’m going through is really the best remedy for all my whining. and of course, it did widen up my perception after hearing their part of stories too. I guess it’the saying of the grass is always greener on the other side is true until you step in and realize that it’s not any greener than you thought it was.

I feel honoured that you all are willing to share your stories with me… everything from work to family and relationships to even personal thoughts and philosophies too. I always think that it is good to hear other people out in order to understand your ownself even more. hope we can have more chance to have this foursome rendezvous again :)
