fruitful trip back home

initially planned to only come back next week but after the bitching session with few of my dear colleagues, I decided to be home as soon or I shall regret later haha…

didn’t have the chance to hang out with the regulars as Kent is busy with travelling and Jen is down with sickness. what a waste... but it’s alrite as I still managed to check off a few things from my to-do-list.

firstly to get a haircut. actually wanted to have a short bop wavy hair but after showing the pictures and discussing with my hairstylist, he said no-no as it doesn’t suit my personality and also due to my hair color, it will only look like one big black bush. and now, I ended with this hairstyle….

yes, a very big transform indeed with the rihanna-inspired hairstyle. in fact, it does look good after my stylist given a few touch but now after a shower, I just couldn’t get back the style! damn… and my mum says I look like a guy with puffy face now. sigh… kinda regret now but I still insist in trying something new.

after months of delay, I finally did some important banking stuff and also minor shopping with mum and sis Rachel. it’s been quite a while since the last time I went shopping with them. and guess what, I just did a very ‘fruit’ful impulsive purchase…..

hahaha…. yes, an apple… the Apple iPhone 3GS…

unfortunately the 16GB model that I wanted is currently out of stock so I had placed my booking and I shall look forward to the next 2 to 4 weeks. oh gosh, I just can’t wait to lay my fingers on my new baby… hooray *jumping with joy and excitement*…

sis Rachel, consider buying over my 1year3months-old 16GB iPod Nano Chromatic ok? help me subsidise my burden a bit la…. :P

010110

hhmmm… these numbers sure do look familiar for those who took physics before. but nope, I’m not going to write anything related to physics but it’s just rather the date of today. yes, the first day of year 2010.

how was your countdown celebration? mine is just fairly simple but no doubt enjoy it to the bits. there was an initial plan to join the countdown party at Siloso Beach but I determined not to as at the very moment I stepped out of my office yesterday noon. why? everywhere is swarmed with human… the taxi stand, the shopping centre, the road, the mrt station and guess what, even at Watsons. just such a short distance from my office to the Bugis mrt station had totally freaked me out and hence I had decided to stay in for the countdown.

we made a decision to have a movie-thon at Terry’s place but only managed to convince Alex and Alicia to join us as the rest is even lazy to step out of their abode. the nite passed along simple and blissful with self-invented finger food and wine in hand. we watched 2 movies, ‘precious’ and ‘my sister’s keeper’. both movies are good and I am definitely very glad to spend a carefree countdown with my dear friends.

this afternoon, went to Marina Square to sing our heart out. supposingly to go with Vander, XiaoTing, Loraine and Kelvin, but both Loraine and Kelvin couldn’t make it last minute. this is my first time going karaoke in Singapore and of coz with this bunch of colleagues. I would say I didn’t let go as easy as singing with my bunch of buddies back in KL bcoz they have chinese education background and singing chinese songs is a must for them definitely. but no doubt, we enjoyed ourselves crazily too. so Vander and XiaoTing, when shall we sing our team song (the reason by hoobastank) again next? haha...

being too engrossed into our karaoke session, we didn’t realize it’s close to dinner time. it’s another disappointing outing as Karen couldn’t make it last minute too. so ended up only me, Vander and Lennon. sad, sad case… but surprisingly, it was an enjoyable, fruitful and sinful dinner. we were so stuffed like pig and I didn’t know Lennon can be such a good chatting partner haha...

guys… thanks for all the treats and making sure I feel at home on this lovely new year. I really do appreciate what you guys had done. you may not know how much this means to me but yes, I would like to say, a very big thank you from the bottom of my heart. may we all be blessed with good health and great journey ahead…

same same but different

a new year, a new start…. will be coming in exactly less than 12 hours.

so how was your 2009? good? great? or fantastic? mine sucks though. I can’t really recall anything but work work work and travel (also for work work work as well)… sucks big time huh… yeah I know! and what a ‘fine’ way to end my 2009 at the very renowned ‘fine’ city…

this morning while riding mrt to work, I was thinking if only I’m back in KL now. I would probably end up having starbucks session with the regulars or home-party at Kelvino’s. how I badly wish I’m back in town. I know…. I can do the same here in Singapore too but it’s just different even with the convenience of 24hours starbucks. frankly speaking, there’s quite a vast similarity between KL and Singapore and it doesn’t take long for me to adjust or adapt but it’s just different.

looking back at my last post for 2008, concluding 2008 was a busy year and now I’m officially to proclaim that 2009 is even worse for me. okok, I shall try to look at the positive side… busy is better than nothing to do rite… whatever... whether it’s 2008 or 2009 or 2010 or 20xx, it’s just another year with 12 months rite? it might be the same routine but it definitely has different anticipation. expectation for better, for more, for ‘value-added’… yes, I age along the years and so do my expectations too. I guess it’s a linear equation huh...

year counting up = age catching up = expectation keeping up

alrite, crap off and wish you guys a tremendous 2010 ahead ya…. my blog is 2 years old now! happy new year all!

hello Kitty!

this post is especially dedicated to one of my dear colleague in Singapore and her name is really Kitty. and that’s how we greet her every time….hello Kitty!

she has been in my working life since the last 2 years but we didn’t have the chance to work closely before. now that I’m posted to work in Singapore, the bond is slowly building up (in fact, it’s just over a month hehe...).

she’s been nicknamed ‘siao za bo’ (means crazy woman in hokkien) in office for her funny & foolish attitude. she’s always the one who cracks stupid jokes and laughs loudly which brings joy to the whole office (especially during this critically stressful period of time... *sigh...*)

lately we’ve been hanging out quite regularly, no matter if it’s in the office over late nite or during the lunch hour or weekend brunching or even mad warehouse sales shopping. it’s really fun to be around with her as she’s really very easy-going and hilarious. and guess what... we are both pisces too… no wonder we click in no time.

now, we are both famous in the office for cracking up sarcastic jokes and no one can defeats us when we both team up (you go, girls… haha…). sometimes we talk about the same thing at the same time and sometimes we just give eye signal and we will know what we are talking about. there was once we went shopping and scouting guys during lunch, we were practically commenting every single guy that pass by and crossing out ugly man... hahaha...

for sure that her presence makes my attachment in Singapore less torturous and fun filled. thanks for your company...

I’ll be home for Christmas...

you can count on me….

yes… after all the hassles of arrangement and coordinations, we finally had decided to go for a retreat during the xmas weekend break. you can read more at my updated post of ‘my travelogue…. (part II)’.

I really am so looking forward to this. first, is bcoz of the resort that we will be stay (it’s just pure therapeutic) and secondly, I can’t wait to get out of this ‘fine city’ that I’m currently located. and finally of coz, what’s more fun than hanging out with good ol’ friends for the jolly season.

see you guys soon… ciao for now…
