not the usual weekend
we ended quite early (11pm to be exact) since Carol needed to get home to deliver the tubs of ice cream to his hubby and also she needs to lead a healthy life for the baby’s sake. but too bad those 2 wild girls (you know who you are) didn’t want to go home that early, we called Wah out for a cuppa. Wah is definitely a friend that you can call him anytime you are in emergency (Wah, we will definitely push your bestselling point to Thim hehe...). decided to hang out at mont kiara’s starbucks again as we wouldn’t wanna take risk and ended up somewhere boring. I really love hanging out with friends (must same channel) and talk bout issues that happens in our daily life. guess what’s the topic of the night? yeah, no other than the topis of petrol price increase, our ‘think-its-citizens-are-dumbass’ government, change of lifestyle (strongly recommended by the government) etc. we even joked about how to earn extra income to cope with the high living standard incurring nowadays. the ever funny Zephyr suggested we start the ‘lok-lok’ van business (you know those types you see at pasar malam or at the streets along the clubbing scenes with sticks of steamboat ingredients and people standing by the pots of boiling soups). I tell you, our joke is not just plain joke! we even thought of the possibility of rivalry threat from the infamous ‘Fatman Lok Lok’ that is currently conquering this business hahaha... ok enough of crapping so then we wrapped up the night (or should I say the morning) at 330am!
sunday morning, the cloud was gloomy and so am I (coz monday is soon to come)... I went out with my mum to get a new standing mirror for myself. at last I got a mirror in my room that I can see from my head to my toe!!! then mum suggested we drop by at some supermarket to get the ingredients to make blueberry muffins. for the first time, I was actually excited about baking. we reached home at noon with all the ingredients and without second thought, I went searching for the recipe book and straight head to the kitchen. pour pour pour, stir stir stir, scoop scoop scoop then placed it into the owen and *TINK* came out the nice muffins. my first time baking today after living for 27 years and it turned out looking very good indeed (must give a round of applause for myself *clap clap clap*). since it’s my first time, I gave my dad and mum the honor to try my handmade muffins. my dad was so worry that he asked me to prepare ‘poh zhai yun’ :( first bite, dad and mum say not bad just that not enough blueberry fillings and my dad joked that I’m now qualified to be someone’s wife (why they really so worried of me not getting married???haiz...). anyway, I enjoyed the baking session very much and it was actually fun and am so happy bout the outcome. I wanted to tell Nicholas that at last I did it so I smsed him and he replied ‘ok, please keep few pieces for me and I’m on the way now...’. half an hour later, he was at my porch front waiting to try my blueberry muffin haha... I packed 3 pieces and we then headed to the old town white coffee cafĂ© at uptown for tea time. I was so anxious when he’s about to try it but he was quite surprise with the results too and gave exactly the same comment as my parents (just not enough fillings). although it’s not perfect but hey, it’s my first time and it will definitely encourage me to bake more... so more muffins to come ok...
tonight is the final match for euro cup 2008 between germany vs spain. I personally am hoping germany could win this one. you go germany!!! I’m gonna watch it tonight while savoring my handmade muffins :) enjoy your match tonite...

work it out!!!
since I didn’t want to go home early on monday as I was all alone, I invited Jen to have dinner with me. we decided to try out the newly operate bubba gump shrimp at the curve and it actually has the same concept as tgi fridays. we wanted to sit inside since Jen didn’t want to smoke, so we were lead to this out-of-nowhere-corner table that can only occupy 2 people (even fatter person won’t be able fit into that corner). the food and drinks were quite nice but we think it’s just too huge portion and quite pricey too... anyway, we did enjoy ourselves especially with the waiters that keep you well served and entertained (must give them thumbs up for the good service though...). I would say it’s worth a try for once in a blue moon is fine...
then came tuesday, it’s the time to celebrate company’s june babies birthday before Adrian has to fly to singapore again. happy birthday Adam & Adrian... oh, and not to forget Kathir too, my dear colleague in singapore... this time we are heading all the way to california pizza kitchen at klcc. we decided to order food that has weird naming on the menu like the work, btl, velvet red cake and the list goes on... (I wonder does those decision has something to do with our creativity :P). some food turned our great, some food was just a ok… but I still dearly love the peking duck pizza... yummy...
after all these sinful indulgence, today I must and have no choice but to go gym and burn it all out! I have been starting back my ‘400 calories regime’ on the treadmill for the past 1 month. I hope the determinations will keep on burning. now, am physically exhausted but not mentally drained so I log onto the net and writing this post while enjoying my favorite bowl of mum cooked vege soup (yeah, that’s all I’m consuming for today but I’m definitely not complaining...)
for those gym kakis out there... work it on!!! health is wealth....

another monday.....
ok, let me list down what I had done these past few weeks:
1. 17 may – went up to genting for xpax xlive festival 2008 and missy elliot really rocks... enjoyed myself to the max although most of them were not my friends. I hope Terry enjoyed himself too since I paid for him! I’m sure you do especially the trance stage rite...
2. 18 may – went for a relaxing cuppa with Mel at starbucks @ the borders, the curve and bought 3 fiction novels (buy 2 free 1... I love the borders!)
3. 19 may – went for wesak day prayer with family. donated a few moola to those in needs in myanmar (why only myanmar and not china as well?? coz I think china has more commercialize attention and donation then myanmar)
4. 24 may – went for an alcohol treatment with some ex-colleagues, Cheong, Ivan & Vinny at plaza damas. nothing special but it’s something nice to do to kill my time. oh yeah, that nite I received a very weird sms from a stranger that has relation to someone I know... but I decided to ignore it coz I think he/she is just plain dumb. to mr/ms stranger who smsed me and if you happen to be reading this now, please get hold of your own life before come questioning what i did! what an idiot...
5. 25 may – supposed to go swimming with Jen but canceled due to her eye infections and so I ended up spending my day in my room reading Ismael Beah’s 'a long way gone' while playing Michael Buble’s
6. 31 may – had a cuppa at mont kiara's starbucks with Jen and Kent. nothing special too but it’s been quite a while ago since we last dropped by at our regular hang out
7. 1 june – had a very ‘homey’ dinner at ah tuan ee’s with Sharon and Janet and moved on to caffeine treatment at dome. we talked and crapped until 1am++ (so sleepy the next Monday morning... yawn...)
8. 7 june – had dinner with some ex-clients, Malcom & Ah Fei at somewhere near petaling street. Malcom is still as funny ever since the last time I met him 3 years back!
9. 8 june – sent my sis, Rachel to start her uni life. I hope she will have a great uni life... (I miss my uni life too... sob sob)
so there, the summaries of my dairy for the past 1 month. I hope I didn’t missed out anything... I'm very looking forward to this weekend surprise football theme birthday party... back to work... have a productive week ahead and adios...

the power of music
tuned on my stereo in my room at 9.45pm, hitz.fm was playing Mariah Carey’s song. then I realized they will be playing MC’s songs whole night long to celebrate her wedding. I was so happy and instantly sms-ed Kent, the only person that I know who adores MC as much as I do hehe...
I was quite in a low mood this few days due to some family argument but by listening to MC whole night long singing the latest ‘bye bye’ to the not #1 hit but famous ‘breakdown’ to the awesome ‘emotions’ to the old school ‘let it be’ to my mum’s favorite “always be my baby’, it definitely does cheer me up. it was like a mini concert to me (or was it mini karaoke-thon coz I was singing all the way?) :P
my mood now is definitely more joyful by just simply listening to MC. thanks hitz.fm for what you had aired tonite. you would never thought that you had just put smile on this silly gal :)

my travelogue.... (part I)
I was quite excited and happy the whole day as we had yet confirmed another trip this year end. I was so energetic that makes me motivated to hit the gym and sweat it out... but that feeling only last till I got a call from my mum to ask me to pick up my sis at 8pm. I was so frustrated that my schedule was disrupted and kept on asking myself why do I always have to cater myself to them, why do I always have to follow their schedule and not them following mine, why do I always have to bear the responsibilities when they are grown up enough to take their own responsibilities themselves.
anyway, since I reached home early and I didn’t want to talk nor look at any of them. I hid in my room, playing with my mp3 player and digital camera and my handphone until I noticed this calendar in my handphone which I keep all my travelogue. so I thought of putting it in here since I have my own blog...
I wasn’t from some rich family that had the chance to study or travel oversea (I'm not blaming anyone for it) and since the day I dreamt about traveling around the world, I told myself I must save hard to fulfill my dream with my own hand. I only started working April 2004 and with low starting income and car loan on hand, I didn’t manage to save much to travel far but we still kick started our travel spirit...
